Spring! We picked Jack up from the g’parents and once we were back in Lincoln we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and get some energy out. Jack is still a tad unsure about riding on these rocking horses at the park, but I’m sure soon enough we won’t be able to pry him off!
Because of some twitter contest, Nick got a sweet shirt from Man v. Food! He’s pretty proud… though what’s odd is that they only had sizes S-L… so, it’s a tad small at the moment, but I told him it will just be his “muscle shirt” that he can flaunt around the house :).
A typical afternoon – Jack picking up a toy, throwing it on the other side of me, then proceeding to crawl over my legs to get said toy…. over and over and over again. I’m always amazed at how one simple game can keep this kid occupied for so long.
One of our neighbors is from Nick’s hometown and spotted us walking on the trail one day. She stopped us to ask if we’d be interested in some outdoor push toys that their girls had outgrown, so she brought them over an hour later and Jack had a blast playing with his new toys the rest of the afternoon. It’s nice that even though we live in an apartment, Jack still has toys and space to run and play.
Jack is turning into a complete boy… and it’s giving mommy anxiety. He’s wants to try to climb things, walk up ramps, run around all by himself. At the children’s museum, he insisted on trying to walk up this pretty steep ramp all by himself – over and over. Nick was there to help him, but I must say he did pretty well for the most part. Where did my baby go??
More fun at the park! Today we tried the slide, and he loooooved it. Don’t you just love the look of joy on his face?
Jack had a taste of his first slushee when we were at Target shopping for his easter egg basket and goodies. He couldn’t get enough (of course) and it dribbled all over his chin – nice sticky red goodness. As you can see, he was pretty darn happy. If you look close, you can see his top front teeth starting to stick out… it only makes him look more adorable. But I could be biased :).
